Brief Biography

I was born in Bundaberg, Queensland in 1961. I attended various schools in Queensland including Lucinda State, Macknade State, Paramatta State, Trinity Bay High and Bundaberg High before completing my Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical & Electronic, Hons 1) at James Cook University in 1984. I continued postgraduate studies at JCU and received my MEngSc and PhD in 1986 and 1990, respectively. I'm married to Camilla and have two children Shannon and Liam. When not at work, I enjoy fishing, camping and travel.
